β-Alanine

β-alanine is a naturally occurring β-amino acid that is structurally different from the common α-amino acids that makes up proteins. It is a key precursor substance for the synthesis of carnosine in our body. It can neutralize acidic substances such as lactic acid produced during exercise, thereby delaying fatigue and enhancing athletic performance.
